At just 13-years-old, Jennifer Pinches knows what she wants. She also knows how to get there. Since she was 6 she has been training in gymnastics, climbing up the levels one by one, recently being crowd the Level 3 British Champion. In 7 years time Jennifer wants the chance to shine on the Olympic stage, hopefully in her home country. Just like the current stars of gymnastics, Beth Tweddle, Catalina Ponor, Svetlana Khorkina, Jennifer wants to become a well known and respected name in gymnastics.

Having began her life as a gymnast at age 6 at her local club, Fromeside, Jennifer, or Jem as she is known (Jennifer Elizabeth Mary) stared off training just 1 hour per week. She soon caught the eye of coach Liz Kincaid who instantly realised the potential Jem showed and told her parents that she was "born to do gymnastics". With this extra guidance and training, Jem excelled and was soon mastering difficult new moves.

In 2003 Jennifer became the level 4 British Champion and was ranked #2 in Great Britain. Because of this achievement she was able to attend a training camp for talented British hopefuls at the world-renowned Romanian gymnastics centre, Cetate Deva. Being able to train in a place where Olympic medals are a norm was very beneficial to Jennifer. In 2004 Jennifer moved up to level 3 and was again crowned British Champion for her level.

After her long time coach Tracey Kerr left Fromeside to go to The Academy run by ex-Fromeside coach Liz Kincaid, Jem decided that she wanted to remain under Traceys guidance and also made the move, along with a number of team mates. This move was just days before the British Levels Championships, testament to Jennifers unphasable mental attitude.
